ASUS releases Padfone

Today at a press conference ASUS released their long-awaited tablet, which wasn’t even a tablet! Yes ASUS shocked us all when they released their new Padfone.

The ASUS Padfone is basically a tablet mixed with a phone, which i think could come in extremely handy and might be a big competitor for Apples iPad.

The smart phone itself is stored inside a compartment within the tablet, where it will share some of its features such as 3G and anything else ASUS may bring to the table.

The tablet itself will be running on a dual core Tegra 2 chip, which will make it pretty fast, but I was kinda hopping for a quad-core released tablet soon, the phone is also likely to be released with the Tegra 2 chip.

I recon this could defiantly beat some of the other ‘big’ tablet brands out there according to the idea of the whole thing, but what it will come down to is how it runs, what it looks like and the price.

What do you think about this? Is it a good idea? Would you buy it?
