Apple Looking For A second Manufacture To Build iPad 3
12/07/2011 | Nicholas Griffin
According to DigiTimes Apple is looking for a new partner to help manufacture the new iPad 3, the recent explosion at Focconn’s plant this year might have convinced Apple to add a second manufacture to reduce any risk of production being halted again.
As Foxconn have exclusivity to manufacture Apple’s iPad this might not go down to well and could even bring another court case on Apple’s books.
The companies that are rumored to be running are Quantra who take part into a lot of the Macs production and Petagron who manufactured the iPhone 4.
The new iPad is rumored to have a HD screen, and is rumored to be launched alongside the new iPhone this September. For more details check our iPad 3 Rumors post, check out some more iPad rumors here.
What do you think about this? Do you think Apple needs to different distributors? When do you think a new iPad will be released?
