Siri has been in the news a lot lately, and is fast becoming one for the biggest features for the iPhone 4S, that’s not to say the personal assistant doesn’t have one or two problems, the first we seen early the this year that the app couldn’t understand anyone with a Scottish accent.
But even more recently Siri has done it again, insulting a 12-year-old boy during a shopping trip at Tesco, the boy was a one of Tesco’s many branches in Coventry when he asked a demonstration model “how many people are there in the world”.
This is were the phone should of told Charlie a polite answer, instead the demo iPhone 4S replied with, “I’m not sure what you said there, shut the f**k up you ugly t**t.” Of course the boy’s mother couldn’t believe what she heard and naturally repeated the question to which she received the same answer.
The phone has now been unplugged, after the mother complained to the store’s manager who has now sent the phone for “diagnostic testing” where Apple will investigate the problem, it does however seem that someone might have tampered with the phone by editing the owner’s name to the insult that was played to Charlie in the store, and of course is problem that would need to be sorted so this couldn’t happen again.
