Huawei being quite a small mobile phone company, but managed to grab the attention of a lot of bloggers this morning with their launch of the, “world’s thinnest smartphone”. The device packs a 1.5GHz processor, with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED touch screen, featuring a resolution of 960×540, and Corning Gorilla Glass, but is only 6.68mm thin.
Alongside the P1 S Huawai also launched a much chubbier brother called the Ascend P1, which has the same specs but packs a larger battery, increasing its overall width to 7.69mm, both of which though will be available in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Australia, Middle East, and China from April 2012.
Alongside this both devices will run Android’s new Ice Cream Sandwich OS, with a custom Android skin, alongside capacitive touch buttons on the front of the device.
