OnLive Bringing Windows 7 Onto Your iPad, CES 2012
10/01/2012 | Nicholas Griffin
You may have heard of the cloud gaming service called OnLive, which allows its subscribers to play console games on a variant of devices ranging from smartphones, tablets, TVs and a PC/Mac, but what you probably wouldn’t expect from them is a Windows 7 app for the iPad.
Yes that’s right, Onlive announced earlier today that they will be bringing an app, to Apple’s App Store which allows you to access Windows 7 from an iPad, the app will run as a sort of virtual access to your PC that is already running the system, and will be pre-installed with Microsoft’s great packages including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Internet Explorer.
I cannot think of anyone who wouldn’t find it useful running Windows 7 on an iPad, the app will be free for a basic package with 2GBs of storage, which is expandable to 50GB, at the cost of $9.99 a month.
What do you think? Would you use an app like this?
