Microsoft Looking At Alternate Uses For The Kinect

The Xbox 360 Kinect is a great piece of kit, putting it simply but so far there’s nothing much you can do with the device. A source close that claim to be close to Microsoft i claiming that Microsoft is trying to dodge this by coming up with some alternate uses for Kinect which could result in additional streams.
Up to now the source claims that Microsoft is still in brainstorming stages, focusing on the possibility’s of using the Kinect as a form of home security, other areas include interaction the television shows, tracking facial expressions of viewers to find out here emotions during certain v programmes.
Obviously this is all just ideas at this point, but it would be cool to have some more interaction with this tech, what do you think? Can you think of anything else the Kinect could be used for.
