Three Year Old Boy Finds Live Grenade During Easter Egg Hunt

original Three Year Old Boy Finds Live Grenade During Easter Egg Hunt

If you where playing easter egg hunts this weekend you where probably lucky to find a couple of easter eggs and some weird looking rocks, well one three year old boy found a live grenade which makes for the most dangerous Easter egg hunt I have ever heard of.

The granade which was found in a field filled with 25 children was from World War II and kids being kids see a grenade and think of it as a toy, or in this case a rock, Stuart Moffart the parent to one of the children involved said:

“We were beginning to count up the eggs at the end of the hunt and I saw a boy of three standing on an object. It was brown and about 4 inches high. It looked like an Easter egg, but it was a hand grenade… I was shocked. The boy who was standing on it thought it was a rock.”

As soon as the parents noticed the WW2 weapon the called the local authorities who then sent for the UK Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team who them safely blown up the grenade before any more children could try and eat it, currently it is still unkown how the grenade ended up lying in a field but signs do point towards the fact the site used to be home to an American Army base.

Just to let you know nobody was hurt during the incident which is extremely lucky as the boy was standing on a bomb waiting to blow.

Let us know what you think about this in the comments below. Oh and yes we do know this is not exactly tech related news, but we figured it’s from the UK and really weird so thought we would share it with you guys.
