Apple’s Mac Pro WWDC Refresh Inbound
06/06/2012 | Nicholas Griffin
Normally when Apple are going to bring release a new product, or refresh an old one, they will start to reduce the amount of stock in stores for the previous model, and it seems this is currently happening for the Mac Pro, and according to MacRumors who said they polled 100 US Apple retail stores to see if any of them had stock for in-store pickup, and found that “nearly all of them are indeed out of stock for in-store pickup.”. As well as this MacRumors are also stating that Apple’s asking its employees to stay overnight during June 12th, which is normally time they would spend training staff on new products and features.
Alongside that 9to5mac have also claimed to discover three new part numbers for the Mac Pro range:
- MD770LL/A – K5BPLUS,BETTER, BTR-USA
- MD771LL/A – K5BPLUS,BEST,BTR-USA
- MD772LL/A – K5BPLUS,ULTIMATE,BTR-USA
The first two are supposedly the two base models for the Mac Pro, with the third expected to include OS X Server.
At the moment this is just a rumor but we will be sure to find out more, during Apple’s WWDC conference on Monday.
