Google’s New 3D Maps Application Coming To iOS and Android Soon

Google is getting into the event spirit, with their Maps event happening in San Francisco right now, announcing a lot new features coming to both Android and iOS, with the just announced Maps application coming to the mobile platform, during a Q&A session Google Maps Vice President, Brian McClendon also noted that they are working hard to bring an offline maps mode to iOS and Android.
Which is another feature they announced earlier allowing users to connect to the Maps app when you are offline, with users still able to use both the GPS and Compass as well as being able to zoom in or pan around maps without any loading screens.
Alongside that Brian also said that the app will also be launching in both South Africa and Egypt, as well as ten other countries later this month.
The final thing to be announced was a new version of their Street View technology, and are now taking photos to the next step, using an Android-powered device to allow them to take photos whilst hiking around national parks, including the grand canyon alongside other points of interest.
