Facebook Reveals New App Center, Already Appearing In Some Facebook Apps
08/06/2012 | Nicholas Griffin
If you are bored with the same old Apple App Store, Facebook is bringing a new solution to you with their very own App Store, placed within the Facebook app, the new store will allow you to buy stuff like credits for games, through credit on your phone.
So far the service is only supported in the US and UK, with the carriers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, O2, Orange, Three and Vodafone, but it’s safe to assume this service will appear in a few more countries at a later date.
Before we had no clue as to when the app will be released, but according to TechCrunch some Facebook users are already noticing a new “App Center” tab showing up in the navigation menu within the Facebook app. which TechCrunch say is:
Similar to the interfaces that the company showed off in early May when it announced the App Center plans, you can see a left-hand navigation feature within Facebook’s feature-heavy iOS app. Apps with unread notifications appear in the top section. If you click through, you see the App Center (and you’ll note that the logo in the screenshot also matches what Facebook has previously released).
