With Apple announcing their refresh to the MacBook Air only a few days ago, Ultrabook manufactures have been pushed to get there devices out ahead of the rush and it seems that Acer’s newest design might just target it a little too well as Acer say its the “world’s thinnest ultrabook.” Alongside which it also has the latest Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, 256GB SSD, USB 3.0, HDMI and Thunderbolt ports, which has all been concealed behind an awesome motorized drop down door, called the MagicFlip I/O.
The most important part of the device however is of course it’s size with a sell measuring at just 11.2mm at its thinnest point, and 15mm at its thickest point, oh and it weighs a tiny 2.63 pounds. And thats not even it Acer are also bringing a free backup solution for images, media and documents called AcerCloud to all of the devices purchased in the US, and will also be available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, allowing you to access everything on AcerCloud through your smartphone.
So the only thing left is its price which is around £1000, which is okay for a device of this magnitude, let us know what you think of it in the comments below. Also check out The Verge’s hands-on video here:
