Scanning A QR Code On A Bin Could Win You A Prize

With recycling such an important thing today a lot of local councils in the UK have been trying harder to get their residents to recycle, but one council has it completely right with their Bin, Scan and Win! campaign.
The councils within Westminster and Camden have rolled out this new campaign, allowing pedestrians walking around the city to scan a simple QR code upon using the recycling bins across the city, upon doing so your smartphone will take you to a website where you can enter to win a £20 in a daily draw, the total value of all rewards standing at £2,460. Which might not seem much to you but it is certainly well invested if it means residents will notice the recycling bins across the city more.
