Google Compute Engine Announced

Today at Day 2 of Google’s I/O conference they have already announced a lot of stuff, just now they have increased this to the launch of Google Compute Engine.
Mixed with Google’s App Engine this allows developers to create great apps that can connect to virtual machines in order to build complicated apps with a great server connection from Google.
Without Compute Engine the example Genome Explorer used to take 10 minutes, but with Compute engine virtual machines these can be done in seconds.
The best part is something pointed out in the keynote, they announced that they can provide over 70,000 cores to your apps.
From today developers can access this and build their apps with Google’s data center to allow for huge spikes in application use.
Google also say this will be cheap as they have made huge savings trying to build the data center.
