Gradually the world is switching the olden day written text for the new electronic screen, which one Hotel in UK has just done by switching the written Bible on the bedside table with a Kindle with the book loaded electronically, this has been rolled out into all of its 148 guest rooms.
The Kindle’s will also allow guests to download versions of their own religious scriptures for free as long as it costs no more than £5 that is, alongside that guests can download other book to kindles which would be charged to there final hotel bill.
The scheme has only gone on trial in the Hotel Indigo Newcastle branch until, July 16th.
“In the 18th Century, Newcastle was one of the largest print centres in Britain and we’re in Grainger Town, close to the Literary and Philosophical Society,”
“We wanted to reflect this literary history in a very contemporary way, so are offering guests the use of cutting-edge Kindles pre-loaded with The Bible, instead of the more traditional hardcopy Gideon’s Bible that they would expect to find in a hotel.”
