When buying any Apple product the first thing on anyones mind is trying to stop people from stealing their prized goods, even with Find My iPhone your product my still not be safe, but Apple may have found a way to deter those sticky fingers with a new patent in which they have just been granted.

The patent will the device to detect a ”known theft condition” through acceleration characteristics, once it detects that theft condition it will sound an alarm and disable the device, the only time the device will see a known theft condition is in scenarios which involve direct movement and not those from passing cars or from dropped items onto a nearby surface.
