Arma II Mod, DayZ Being Developed As A Standalone Game

After an announcement made by Deal Hall, the creator of the popular Arma II mod you may know as DayZ, it seems the mod is now becoming a standalone title:
“Development and updates of the mod will continue in parallel with the development of the game, so anyone who is playing the mod now will be able to continue to do so. The project will follow the Minecraft development model; fast iterations with the community alpha available for a heavily discounted price.”
Hall also added that the standalone game will have its own site, www.dayzgame.com, whilst the mod will continue to run on its own site. www.dayzmod.com.
