Google Chrome For Windows Gets Flash Security Update

Google has just updated their Chrome web browser to version 21, which will make Flash a lot more secure by adding the service to the sandbox, which isolates the plug-in and restricts access to your computer’s filesystem which as you can guess will reduce the risk of gaining malware and other viruses when browsing the web.

Alongside that the update will also allow flash to run advanced features including GPU acceleration and compatibility with Windows XP and Windows 8 Metro mode.

According to Google the updated plugin will also reduce Flash based crashes by 20 percent.

So far these features are only available to Windows and Linux users, but Google has said a version for Mac is in the works.
