If you want a new digital camera but want something more than you get from a compact camera and don’t want to spend all your cash on a DSLR, Bridge cameras are the next big thing.
One of the cheapest available within this category is Fujifilm’s FinePix S4200 Bridge Camera that includes a CCD sensor with a 14 megapixel resolution and a CCD shift type image stabiliser.
The S4200 also includes a lens with a 4.3mm-129mm focal length F3.1/F8 wide or F5.9/F8/F20 Telephoto aperture with ND filter, there’s also a Fujinon 24x optical zoom or 6.7x digital zoom available.
In terms of a viewfinder your only option is the screen unfortunately which measures in at 3.0 inches and includes a TFT colour LCD monitor.
There’s also a video mode which can be outputted to the TV via HDMI.
