Sony Announces the Cyber-Shot QX100 and QX10 at IFA

There’s been two big announcements during Sony’s IFA 2013 conference today, the first being the announcement of the Sony Xperia Z1 and the second being the announcement for the Cyber-Shot QX100 and QX10 attachable lens cameras for smartphones.

Designed to work with both Android and iOS, the lenses have been designed to allow the user to shoot high quality photos right from their smartphone, and then instantly share them online.

Kicking off with the QX10, the cheaper of the duo, it has been priced at $250 and features an 18.2 megapixel sensor, Sony G Lens with a 10x optical zoom and built-in Optical SteadyShot, available in both black and white.

The QX100 is however a bit pricier, set at $500 it comes with a 1 inch 20.2 megapixel Exmor RCMOS sensor, Car Zeiss lens with a 3.6x optical zoom, BIONZ image processor and a control ring for adjusting the focus and zoom.

Both will connect using a built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connection, and can be quick paired to a device using NFC.
