O2 customers can now Tweet to find out their account information

O2 has today announced a new service which they will be bringing to #TweetServe it allows customers with the carrier to tweet @02 with specific keywords to request that certain information be sent to them via a direct message,

Such keywords include #charges (displaying the customer’s Pay Monthly bill balance or their Pay & Go credit), #minutes, #texts or #data, the later of which provide information on the customers inclusive minutes, texts or data allowance.

There’s also commands to find out if there are any updates for the customer’s device, to do which the customer can tweet #android, #windows or #ios. The last commands are #handsets and #offers, both displaying new offers on deals for new handsets.

If the customer prefers they can opt out of the #TweetServe service at any time by tweeting #stop to @02.
