Customers will be able to purchase either the £10, £25 or £50 cards, allowing them to later redeem content from the Google Play store, including apps, music, books, and more.

We are already seeing a few people spot the cards, so it’s likely that they are already in stores today.

There’s no word, if the cards will be available beyond the UK or US.

Not having to pay for in-app purchases has been something people with jailbroken iPhone’s have been able to do for quite some time, but now the tweek has come to non jailbroken phones via one Russian Hacker.

The hack allows users to bypass paying for in-app purchases without the need to jailbreak, you will however have to install a couple of security certificates and a custom DNS entry to user it, but after the you can get all the free in-app purchase goodies you want.

There are a ton of problems with this tweek which are the reasons I would not advice doing it, the first is that its illegal and you can actually get charged for this sort of offense, the second is that some personal data (were not sure how much) gets transferred to the hacker’s server as you use it.

Which is certainly a bit dodgy, especially since his first host kicked him of, and the second site is currently down, check out the video below to see it in action, but I must stress that you should defiantly not try this hack, just pay for your content guys (that includes those of you using adblock ).

It seems that recently Apple’s App Store is starting to become unreliable with tons of fake apps being released constantly, can we trust Apple in the same way we used to? Knowing that Apple sifted through all submitted apps used to help with that trust but after a recent disrupt to their system I think the once great app store is starting to deteriorate, the disrupt in question is one which is reportedly causing updates to apps on both the Mac and iOS stores to become corrupt.

First spotted by the Instapaper developer, Macro Arment when he was updating the Instapaper app to 4.2.3 he noticed that users were reporting crashes during launch, even though the app Macro sent to Apple worked without the issue. This was later resolved by Apple but according to Arment it wasn’t as the only way to truly fix the problem was to re-install the app, completely deleting to old one.

Instapaper isn’t even the only app to receive the problem as The Verge confirmed the problem is also within other apps including PDX Bus, Angry Birds Space HD Free and GoodReader, who actually had the problem with not one but two separate updates. Were not exactly sure were the problem has come from just yet but it seems to be coming from Apple’s side not the developers, we will just have to wait and see how widespread this issue actually is.

In an email sent to registered Apple developers, Apple recently announced that a new Food & Drink section will be coming to category’s in the App Store within the next few weeks.

The category will provide users with a list of apps which help uses to cook and bake, mix drinks, manage recipes or find new restaurants and bars, this would for example include Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals app instead of being included in Lifestyle or Reference.

This will not however feature diet, grocery, coupon of food related game applications, all apps that do make it will automatically be migrated, if a developer doesn’t want their app to be moved over they have until June 8th to opt out.

It seems that Apple are getting a little crappy when it comes to checking apps before they accept them unto the app store, with a fake Cydia app accepted just a week ago and now a Activator fake, the app developed by TicTac Studio claims to be just like the popular Cydia tweak originally developed by Ryan Petrich, with the description:

This will answer one or more of your heaps of problems with your iPhone … Such as…

How to use multitouch gestures in iPhone/iPod touch
How to change the way of accessing IPhone/iPod touch
How to assume custom buttons or custom gestures for original buttons

With this you can add new features like “shaking the iPod for traditional home button press) like wise.. There are many features like touch screen lock, touch shut down, touch reboot, touch respring, changing default buttons and changing default gestures….

But all it actually does according to reviews is edit your home and lock screen, we haven’t downloaded it so don’t know for sure but there are already a few reviews stating this same problem, the worst thing is that its apparently on “50% off sale” at 69p, but don’t be incised by the marketing techniques and stay clear away from this app also share this with your friends so they all know not too as well, hopefully this developer will get banned and money returned soon but as always that lies with Apple who really need to fix their acceptance policy, which has dramatically slipped over this past year.

Yesterday TechCrunch reported on something we haven’t noticed so far but it seems that Apple may already be using the Chomp technology they acquired earlier this year within their App Store search results.

The app search engine named Chomp was picked up by Apple back in February but so far they haven’t really done anything with it, leaving the app to carry on allowing users to search for what apps can do through buzz words in the apps description, which allows the app to show higher quality apps for you to download.

Until now that is as TechCruch recently noticed that upon searching the words “sf parking” they found that the Best Parking app weirdly ended up on top, which is weird as normally the App Store would show the app closest to the words you searched, not the app you most likely want.

Which makes it look like Apple may already be integrating Chomp into the App Store to recognize apps by downloads, user reviews and the app description, or it may be a coincidence that Best Parking ended up on top.

Let us know if you have noticed anything like this in the app store in the comments below, make sure to send us a screenshot if you have one too

Just a day after Apple’s WWDC event it seems Apple where trying to better the App Store in ways they didn’t think to mention, and registered two entirely new domains in their name, these domains go by the names, freeonappstore.com and freeonibookstore.com, currently if you head on over to these links they don’t take you to anything, which is weird that they haven’t been redirected to something yet, but it may just be Apple snapping the domains up whilst they can. This is coming after Apples more recent promotion called the Free App of the week which launched around the end of last month and features one app which used to be paid for free in both the iPhone and iPad platforms.

You’ve more than likely been in the situation before, a girl who you regret going out won’t leave you alone or that really annoying mate won’t stop messaging you.

The only way to get rid of them sometimes is with a lie or to just ignore them completely, well with the most recent Facebook Messenger update that might be harder to do than you think.

This is because the new update will now feature compulsory read and optional location notifications, this means your friend will know exactly where you are as well as when you have read the message.

If you use Spotify a lot but are starting to dislike its service then Rdio might just be the app for you, the music streaming service which has been available in the US has finally made its debut in the UK and France.

The app will allow you to listen to millions of tracks on a variety of mobile devices and your computer, the downside is the fact it has a monthly fee, but this depends on what you want out of the service.

For a web-only package you will pay $4.99 a month, or if you want to listen on your mobile it will cost you £9.99 a month. There is no free option as of yet but you can sign up to a free 7-day trail of the premium service.

I will most defiantly sign up myself as I’m always up for giving something new a go but not quite sure if I’ll change just yet.

What do you think? Will you be signing up?

Already Draw Something has become one of the biggest app store available downloads, with over 50 million downloads so far Draw Something has finally released a brand new update for both iOS and Android, bringing some pretty epic features with it.

The first one is one we have all been waiting for, the undo button. Yes now when you accidentally draw a blue line instead of a black one (which I do all the time,) you can finally undo your last action.

Alongside that Zynga have also brought in some new social actions within the game the first being the ability to comment on yours and your opponents drawings, alongside that you can also share drawings to Facebook and Twitter (Only on IOS).

The final new feature is the ability to refresh a game, alongside the ability to finally save drawings to your phone so no more screenshot button pressing needed, just hit save and you’ve got that epic drawing of a smurf.

If you have an iOS device the best game you can get for it is most defiantly the best game you could buy for it, and with an upgrade coming to the app store this Thursday it’s only going to get better with a tweak to the game interface, as well as the ability to meld together three gems to create one powerful jewel, and finally there’s also a new game mode called ClashMob.

In case you’re wondering ClashMob is a sort of global social game mode which will allow thousands of Infinity Blade 2 players to join in online games in which they will have to take on beastly enemies in order to unlock in-game goodies, in order to increase your odds of getting that cool gear you have to enlist your friends into the your Mob via Facebook or Game Center.
