Comment Policy
By submitting a comment on TechNutty you are automatically agreeing to these policies, which you must adhere to when deciding to post on comment on this site.
All comments written must be kept appropriate, relevant and thoughtful, taking into account that other people use this site so you must take care with what you write amongst the comments, as such all comments will be moderated after which any comments that are found to harass or intimidate an individual or group of individuals based on their age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability will be removed. Alongside this we will also remove any comments thought to be unlawful, abusive, deceptive, defamatory, fraudulent, harassment, threatening, tortuous or obscene, all decisions of which will fall to the moderator.
Alongside this at TechNutty we have set some basic guidelines for what should be included in a comment and what shouldn’t for which we will only allow you to add a maximum of 2 links per comment which should always be relevant to that particular post/ page, if there is more than 2 links or the links are not relevant we will either remove the entire comment or just the links depending on the other content in the comment itself.
In order to try to defeat any spam on TechNutty in order to post a comment you must enter an e-mail address and name, as well as clearing a captcha form. This is a mandatory process for all new comment’s but your e-mail address will always be kept private unless you make decide otherwise, as well as this we do not allow ant machine-generated or randomly generated comments that may look like Spam, each and every comment will go through spam protection software we have on this site, which will then categorise the comment as spam or not spam.
Alongside this TechNutty will retain some potentially personal data which you may or may not supply when leaving a comment, this information may include, but is not limited to your IP address, browser type/ version and a timestamps for each request. This information will never be shared with any third party’s it is just a way of making TechNutty even better for particular browsers and operating systems in order to make sure you can have the best experience possible.
As well as this any comment you do post is entirely your responsibility, which means that you will be held responsible for any content you may include, or any harm that may lead from it. This is completely regardless of the status of the comment.
Currently on TechNutty we cannot provide the ability for users to remove their own comments, as such if you wish to remove a comment you must first request via the contact form for the removal of your comment, after which we will decide whether or not to remove the comment, but ultimately we are not obligated to remove it. Upon any removal of a comment there may still be data left on or system such as caches or references to that comment, this data may not be removed alongside the comment, and we hold the right to use our sole discretion to refuse or remove any comment that violates any of TechNutty policy’s.
