I seems hanging around at events may not be as safe as it was thought to be, after a promotional event for the new G2 from LG in Korea caused a few problems for members of the audience.

Saying that, to be precise it caused 20 people to be injured.

Called “G in the cloud”, the event took place in Seoul and involved launching hundreds of helium balloons in the air, each of which carrying vouchers for a free G2.

Whilst most simply attacked the balloons mid-flight, some members of the crowd tried to shoot down the balloons using BB guns, but instead simply shoot the crowd themselves.

The company has already apologized to those that where injured and have promised to cover the cost of their medical care.
