The Truely Exquisite site has today unveiled their own version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, unveiling one that has been covered in 24 carat liquid gold.

This is something that a lot of different companies do when a smartphone has been announced, however, what makes this particular one interesting is that it is pretty darn cheap.

Priced at just £1,700 plus VAT, the 24k build of the S7 will not only include the smartphone but also a wooden box, Samsung Gear VR and a Samsung wireless charging plate.

If you consider that normally the S7 is around £570, the Gear VR is normally around £100 and the charging plate is around £45, this total price will be £715 without the gold. In terms of the S7 Edge, that would normally cost £639, but in 24K gold it will be priced at £1800 plus VAT.

You will also be able to get the S7 in platinum for £1,800 plus VAT, or an 8K rose gold version for £1,850 plus VAT.

Meanwhile the S7 Edge is priced at £1,900 plus VAT in platinum and £1,850 plus VAT for the 8K rose gold versions.

You can pre-order all of these from today, with half of the deposit paid up front, it is expected to be delivered “very soon after the official release date” from Samsung which is 11 March.
