Well it seems almost confirmed, Three UK will be getting 4G after all, as the sale of two 15MHz blocks of the 1800MHz spectrum granted to Everything Everywhere has been allocated to Three.

This is obviously huge for the mobile operator, and means they can start rolling out 4G LTE services, well that is after Everything Everywhere stop using the blocks and Ofcom gives to go ahead.

Ofcom previously allocated this band to Everything Everywhere last Monday, who have said they will work towards a September 11th roll-out date, which leaves the bigger networks such as Vodaphone and O2 to fight over the remaining 800MHz and 2.5Ghz bands.
