Apple launched the new iPad Pro along with their Apple Pencil accessory just a few weeks ago, but already iFixit have got their hands on the Pencil and torn it down.

And as with most of their tear downs, iFixit went it pure detail about the device, reporting its insides and just how well it is repairable.

However because the Pencil is a sealed unit, iFixit has to use a cutting tool to get inside of it, which of course means that the Apple Pencil is already hard to repair if broken, in fact pretty much impossible without destroying the device itself.

The pencil is clearly not meant to be opened or repaired; you can’t get inside without destroying the device.

Due to this the Apple Pencil got a score of 1 out of 10 on the iFixit repair index, which means that it is extremely hard to repair, in fact with this one it’s going to be a job for Apple.
