Twitch has today announced that they will soon be releasing a fully featured Twitch app for Sony’s PlayStation devices.

The app will also take advantage of some of the PlayStation exclusive features such as the console share feature, allowing users to record directly to Twitch, and it is about time soon.

Platforms such as Xbox One, iOS, Android and even Roku have had Twitch applications for sometime now, but this Autumn it will finally make its way to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

It will be based upon the web-based Twitch.tv service, allowing users to access a streams chat, follow channels and games and access a dedicated section for PS4 highlights.

In the blog in which this was announced they also revealed Whispers 2.0, which will live in individual docked windows alongside a list view of all your whisper converstations and will come along with other features like video playlists.
