To rub in the wait even further, Sony announced during their Gamescon conference that they will be working with Ubisoft to create a fully-featured movie for the Watch Dogs game.

The movie will be developed in conjunction with Ubisoft Motion Pictures who will also be releasing a movie for Assassin’s Creed in May 2015, and will now work with both Sony Pictures Entertainment and New Regency to develop the Watch Dogs movie.

Alongside the announcement of the film, Ubisoft also announced that their will be an exclusive extra sixty minutes of playable content for the game at launch on the PS4, alongside the release of some new footage for the game.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO, Jean-Julien Baronnet said the following about the movie announcement:

“This deal creates exceptional opportunities for us to merge the realms of the story-based cinematic experience with the interaction of the video game.”
