Acer has today announced the new Iconia A1 tablet, alongside a number of other devices, the new tab features a 7.9 inch IPS LED-backlit display, with a quad-core processor, 1024×768 resolution at a 4.3 ratio.

The new tablet will also weigh 410g and is only 11.1mm thick, and includes Bluetooth 4.0 and a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, with a 5 megapixel shooter on the rear.

The Wi-Fi only version of the A1 will be available at the end of May for £145, with a 3G option launching in July for around £200.

Acer’s B1 tablet, that was announced back at CES this year, was announced for launch in mid-June, the Wi-Fi only version for £110, and the 3G will launch at the end of July for around £150.
