Acer has today unveiled a new tablet called the Iconia 8, which an Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, alongside an 8 inch  display that has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor.

The tablet is only 8.5mm thin and weighs only 360 grams, which makes the tablet extremely portable.

The tablet also features either 16 or 32GB of storage, with 1GB of RAM, microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.

The tablet is said to hit retail stores in Q3 of 2014, however Acer are yet to actually mention the exact markets to which the tablet will be available.
