Acer has today announced the release of a new Windows Phone 8.1 tablet that will join the Aspire tablet family, and will be named the Acer Aspire 8 W.

In terms of specs the tablet has an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel resolution IPS display that delivers 189ppi. There’s also a 13GHz Intel Atom Z3735g Bay Trail Quad-Core processor inside, as well as a slot for microSD card expansion, microHDMI and microUSB for charging.

Alongside that, the tablet also has a dual camera that has a quality yet to be announced.

Acer also claims that the battery will last 8 hours from a single charge. It also measures 9.7mm thin, has a 7mm bezel and weighs 370g. It will also include MS Office 365 Personal pre-installed.

The Acer Aspire 8 W will be available in the UK this November from £120.
