After the announcement of the HP Chromebook 11 yesterday, acer has today revealed the new Acer Chromebook C720, priced£30 cheaper than the new HP Chromebook, it will be available from PC World and Currys from November for £199.

For which the new laptop is said to promise a 8.5 hour battery from a single charge, and features an 11.6 inch screen that also features an anti-glare coating. Acer says that the Chromebook will boat in 7 seconds and has been designed to be 30% thinner than its predecessor, at 19.05mm thick and weighing 1.3kg.

In terms of other specs, the C720 also features 16GB of SSD on-board storage and 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years.

There’s also a USB 3.0 port with a USB 2.0 port and a HDMI port. Alongside which the Chromebook also has support for up to a 32GB SD card.

The Acer Chromebook C720 will also be available at the end of October in Switzerland, Germany, UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden and Finland with a starting price of €249 .
