Acer has today announced that the Acer Iconia W4 tablet will be launching later this month, powered by a 1.8GHz 4th generation Intel Atom processor, with Windows 8.1 pre-installed and a 10 hour battery life according to Acer.

Acer also say the tablet will feature an 8.1 inch IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology that reportedly removes the air between the touch panel and the LCD module, allowing the company to reduce reflection. The display also has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution with a 186 ppi, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel shooter on the back with 720p 60fps and 1080p 30fps video recording.

The tablet will also feature Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 pre-installed and will also feature a Micro HDMi port as well as either 32GB or 64GB of storage, expandable with up to 32GB of extra storage using a MicroSD card.

The 32GB version will be available at the end of January priced at €299 for the 32GB version, and there will also be a 64GB version.
