Acer has this week revealed that they are launching a new notebook that runs on the Remix OS software.

In case you don’t know, Remix OS is based on an Android-x86 port of the Android operating system.

This is a simpler and easier to use system than something like Windows 10, but with less features, a sort of competitor to Chrome OS if you will.

This has been launched on the Acer Aspire ES1-131, originally in China, and they haven’t announced any plans to expand it further just yet. They haven’t revealed pricing for it yet either.

Thankfully, they have revealed some specs, which include an Intel Celeron N3050 Dual-Core 1.60GHz processor, 2GB of DDR3LSDRAM, an Intel HD graphics card and 32GB of internal SSD storage.

It will also include Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Acer will be launched the Remix OS version of the ES1-131 in China, but as soon as we hear more about any other launch dates we will let you know.
