Acer has today announced the next smartphone aimed at the budget smartphone buyer, dubbed the Acer Liquid Z5, the smartphone will be priced at just €169 but will still feature a 5 inch display with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 4GB of in-built storage and Android 4.2.2 pre-installed.

Acer also says that the camera will feature a five lens element with a 1.4 x 1.4 micrometre pixel size sensor that is said to let more light in and result in less noisy low-light images.

The AcerFloat UI has also been installed alongside AcerRapid, allowing users to add a number of tweaks to the smartphone, and DTS sound has also been equipped.

The Acer Liquid Z5 will be available in white and grey in France, Benelux, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine and UK from mid-January from €169.
