The 8 inch Windows 8 tablet from Acer has been rumored for a long time now, already revealed on the manufacture’s website, the tablet was made official by Acer earlier today, confirming that the device will weigh 1.10 pounds, measures 0.45 inches thick and features an 8.1 inch LCD display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

Powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor, with either 32GB or 64GB flash storage, as well as a microSD slot, optional full-sized keyboard and mouse, the W3 even comes with a bundled copy of Microsoft Office.

The Acer Iconia W3 will in fact be the first 8-inch tablet to run a full version of Windows 8.

Acer say that the suggested retail price for the W3 will be $379 in the US, but havn’t mentioned when it will start shipping, although pre-orders will start on Tuesday.
