During the CeBIT 2016 event in Germany, Acer has today revealed more details about its external graphics dock, which can connect to a system using USB-C connections, and offers the ability to add Nvidia graphics.

This dock was first announced back at CES 2016 in January, however, we only learned full details about it today.

Inside of the dock there is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 940M graphics card, and has been specifically designed to support the Acer Switch 12 S hybrid laptop/tablet.

That laptop is fitted with a USB-C/ Thunderbolt 3 connection, it is powered by an Intel Core M5 Skylake processor, and features a display with a 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution.

The graphics dock will also be able to transmit both data and power, however, we don’t yet know how much it will be priced at, or when it will be available, but it is expected that it will retail €300.

We will let you know more when we know, in the meantime you can watch the video from NotebookCheckReviews below for a quick look.
