Two years after they first launched Lightroom 5, Adobe has today announced the launch of their brand new photography application, Adobe Lightroom 6.

Also named Lightroom CC, the new app is available as part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography Plan for $9.99 a month in the US or £8.57 in the UK, or as a standalone desktop-only app for a one-off payment of $149 in the US or £103.88 in the UK.

The new application adds a ton of new features including advanced video slide shows, support for panoramas, easy HDR image editing, some performance tweaks, improved web galleries, visual storytelling and support for more devices.

“Create amazing images from challenging high-contrast scenes. New HDR Merge lets you combine multiple photos taken with different exposure settings into a single high dynamic range image.

With Lightroom, all your photography is all in one place. You can organize, edit and share your photos from anywhere — on your computer, on the web, on your iPad and on your iPhone or Android devices. You can even have photos from your phone go directly into Lightroom as you shoot them. Syncing takes care of itself, so when you make an edit or flag a favorite in one place, it’s automatically updated everywhere else.”
