Following pressure from the BBC, Adobe has decided to bring back Flash for Android users in the UK, which will now be available to download from Google Play once more, but will now only support devices running Android 4.0 or above.

The BBC. Put on the pressure to Adobe after it meant their iPlayer app would be unusable after they removed the app from the store on August 15th, a spokesman from Adobe told the following to the BBC:

“Flash Player continues to be available on Google Play for users in the UK for a short while due to requests from strategic partners,”

This does not mean Flash is back for good, and Adobe will probably pull the app as soon as these developers have begun using a different platform.
