After announcing the launch of the X51 Steam Machine back at CES 2014, Alienware has today announced at Valve’s Steam Dev Days developer summit that they will be releasing the console in September.

They didn’t reveal any specifications, but they did say that the X51 would offer a  “a sleek design which is both distinctively Alienware yet unobtrusive in a media cabinet” and will feature both an Intel CPU and a Nvidia GPU that can output 1080p graphics.

They also revealed the size of the console which is 8 inches long and 3 inches high, as well as stating that the custom-built chassis will provide both thermal and acoustic management that will keep it both quiet and cool when using the system.

The X51 will also ship with Valve’s Steam Controller.
