As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations Amazon is throwing a party and the prizes are massive sales.

The only catch is that to enter its birthday party you need to be a Prime member.

Dubbed Prime Day, the event will kick off on Wednesday July 15th at midnight, allowing members of the Amazon Prime service to grab bargains on electronics, toys, films, clothes, garden equipment, sports equipment and other outdoor equipment.

“Prime Day is a 1-day only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better,” said Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime.

The deals will be hosting in a similar way to Amazon Lightning Deals, providing shoppers with a new deal once every 10 minutes.

Prime Day will happen in any country that offers Prime, so that includes US, UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Austria.

Amazon has also signed up a number of local artists to create public art to celebrate the day, you can check that out in the video below.
