Amazon has today extended their Prime Now service across the pond, launching the service in the UK that allows for deliveries within an hour to Prime members.

The service is currently available on over ten thousand items in stock on Amazon, available in London only at the moment however.

If you do live in London you can make Prime Now deliveries though Amazon’s dedicated mobile application for iOS, Android and Amazon Fire OS devices.

The service will cost £6.99 for the one-hour delivery slot, and will run seven days a week from 8am till midnight.

Users can also grab two-hour same day delivery slots in London for free if they are a Prime member.

For both options you do need a Prime subscription, which costs £79 a year and provides unlimited on-day delivery options,  unlimited access to the Prime Instant Video streaming service, unlimited cloud storage for photos, access to the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library and various other things.

This all comes after the Amazon prime Now service first launched in New York last Christmas.

You can check if you are eligible for Prime Now deliveries by entering your post code in the form on the dedicated page on Amazon.
