Today Amazon launched their Amazon Prime Now in Scotland.

The service has been launched in Glasgow today, as well as some of the surrounding areas around Glasgow, allowing the Scots to take advantage of one-hour delivery times.

This is available to anyone who subscribes to Amazon Prime, but it does cost a little extra and priced at £6.99 for a one-hour delivery. You can also get a two-hour delivery for free.

Amazon explained more with the following:

Amazon today launched Prime Now in Scotland, offering one-hour delivery on more than 15,000 popular items, to Prime members in selected postcodes in Glasgow. Prime members in Glasgow and surrounding areas can choose delivery within one hour of ordering for £6.99, or free delivery within a choice of two-hour, same-day delivery slots between 10am and 10pm, seven days a week.  Two-hour delivery windows are available in Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Cumbernauld.

“Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever and we are delighted to bring it to Scotland.  From today, Prime customers in Glasgow can get the items they need quickly delivered right to the door in under an hour,” said Jason Weston, director of Amazon’s Prime Now service in the UK. “Whether its essentials like fresh milk, nappies or even a last minute gift, customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door in less than sixty minutes.”
