Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos revealed on sunday that they are working on some new delivery options for its customers, developing a new system that will deliver Amazon orders directly to customers to their doorstep by an unmanned aircraft.

Of course this is just in a developing stage at the moment, so it will be some time until the company ditches other services like couriers and other postal services.

Despite that Bezos still revealed some details to the service, revealing that the company has been working on the technology for several months now and will be called Prime AIr, however it won’t roll out for some time now.

The service will uses programmable drones called “octocopters”, which feature eight helicopter blades and can be maneuvered with the guidance of GPS.
