Today Amazon revealed that they have updated the 8-inch version of their HD tablet, adding a better battery life, more RAM, and a new price tag.

The new Amazon Fire HD 8 has an 8-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, a quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 4,750mAh battery that can offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

You will also be able to select the tablet with either 16GB or 32GB of storage, which you can expand by up to a further 200GB via a microSD card.

There’s also front and rear facing cameras alongside a Dolby audio stereo system.

To run all of that, Amazon has loaded the tablet with their own Fire OS 5 instead of Android.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 will be available in black, magneta, blue, or tangerine.

It is now available for pre-order on Amazon’s website, but won’t ship until September 21st. You can find out more about it at the source link.
