The Fire TV isn’t the only thing that Amazon has up its sleeves this week, as they have now also unveiled a new barcode scanning device called the Dash Wand, which is a Wi-Fi enabled wand that will allow you to do your weekly shop right from the kitchen, all you have to do is scan barcodes and it will add them to your AmazonFresh shopping list.

Scanning the barcode is not the only way either, a user can also add items by pressing the microphone button and saying the item they want.

Once added, users simply view their list on their desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile and proceed to checkout when ready.

Dash can be kept in the kitchen, or even in the fridge, and can be used with Amazon’s next day delivery service as long as you live in Southern California, San Francisco, or Seattle, and of course subscribe to Amazon Prime Fresh, which will bring with it all of the added benefits of the normal Amazon Prime service.

To sing up to Dash you must be invited, but those who are will get the Dash Wand free, well if you don’t count the $299 yearly charge after the 30 day free trial anyway.
