Some time ago it was revealed that Android Wear 2.0 would be coming to Android-running smartwatches in early February, and today Evan Blass may have just confirmed the actual date for that release as February 9th.

Blass revealed this news on Twitter today, stating it’s release date but also the devices that are expected to get the update when it is released, which is said to include the following:

  • Moto 360 Gen 2
  • Moto 360 Sport
  • LG Watch Urbane Gen 2 LTE
  • LG Watch Urbane
  • LG G Watch R
  • Polar M600
  • Casio Smart Outdoor Watch
  • Nixon Mission
  • Tag Heuer Connected
  • Fossil Q Wander
  • Fossil Q Marshall
  • Fossil Q Founder
  • Michael Kors Access Bradshaw
  • Michael Kors Access Dylan
  • Huawei Watch
  • Huawei Watch ladies
  • Asus ZenWatch 2
  • Asus ZenWatch 3

However, none of this is official yet so you should take it with a pinch of slat, but if it is true than Android Wear 2.0 will bring a number of news features to these devices, including built-in access to the Google Play Store, without the need for a separate device, alongside the ability to use a smartwatch entirely without another device thanks to the included ability to connect to the internet over Wi-Fi.

It also comes with a new app launcher.

We will update you as we hear more official news.
