Earlier this evening Apple’s vice president Phil Schiller took to the stage at the iPad 3 event to reveal the product we have all been waiting for the brand new iPad.

The new iPad will feature a 9.7 inch Retina Display, with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, alongside a brand new A5X chip delivering quad-core graphics, a 5-megapixel iSight camera with a backlight, auto-exposure, auto-focus and the ability to record 1080p video.

As well as all of this they have also added a new key at the bottom of your keyboard that allows you to use voice-to-text controls, but that’s not it.

Finally, the most anticipated feature was also added, 4G LTE network support which will run on Verizon Wireless and AT&Ts 4G LTE networks in the US, so no 4G for us Brits just yet.

With all of that Apple is promising 10 hours of battery life, or 9 on the 4G LTE networks, the device also measures a tiny 9.4mm thick and weighs 1.5 pounds, it will be available in black and white costing $499 for the 16GB version, $599 for the 32GB version and 699 for the 64GB version, with 4G you will need to pay$629, $729 and $829.
