Apple announced the launch of a new version of their macOS Sierra that will be launched this year and called High Sierra.
Apple said that this new feature will come with a range of new features, which they started by talking about Safari, which will come with new features that include autoplay blocking, and intelligent tracking prevention.
Mail also use Spotlight to find your top hits in search, and it will now have a full-screen split view that allows you to compose a message and view messages at the same time.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Apple File System (APFS), which will take over from the current system in Sierra in order to make the Mac much more modern, faster and cleaner.
That’s probably the most important change, however, there’s more.
H.265 is also coming to the Mac, which will be hardware accelerated for the newest Macs and built into Apple’s software like Pro Tools.
High Sierra will come with a new version of Metal called Metal 2 that will come with a range of features that will make it much faster and better at machine learning.
And they even announced Metal for Machine Learning, which will allow users to more effectively, and there will be a Metal for VR feature that will bring better VR compatibility and the introduction of Steam VRs, Valve’s and others APIs into the Mac.
MacOS High Sierra is available as a developer preview to developers today, it will come to public beta testers in late June and then the general public in Fall.
