Remember before when cables were just cables, in 2006 it all changed when Apple released their very own solution to solve countless tripping disasters, this all came in the shape of the MagSave power cable technology, which Apple has recently been allowed to extend to their iOS devices.

The technology is differently useful and has saved countless MacBook life as it allows the cable to just pop out if you accidentally trip over your power cable, saving thousands of MacBook lives and owners wallets.

Now Apple has been allowed to trademark this cable with the US Patent Office, they can now transfer the MagSafe to iOS devices as well, bringing the same piece of mind to iPad and iPhone owners, the filing which was revealed by PatentlyApple says:

“In one particular embodiment, the connector may be a power connector such as the MagSafe.”

What do you think about it? Do you trip over your power cables? Would you find this useful?
